An art studio sells a room full of easels. An untutored life drawing session runs on Tuesday with a model to pay. Add life drawing as a weekly session with fourteen easels, the oil workshop on Thursdays with ten, and studio hire as hourly slots on Sunday. The portrait course is one entry with a start date and five sessions inside it. Each session carries its own price, so the workshop with materials costs more than the untutored evening.
Take bookings and payments
Artists book from your website or from the assistant. A drop-in pays on the spot, a member takes studio hire at no charge, a pack holder spends a credit, and the course is paid once. The money settles on your own Stripe or PayPal account, and the materials count is known by the time you shop.
Handle changes and waitlists
Someone who cancels the workshop after you have bought the canvas gets what your window says: a refund, a credit, or nothing. The rule runs the same way for every artist. The easel goes to the waitlist with a time-limited offer. If the model cancels, cancel the session and everyone booked hears in one step.

Can I include materials in the price?
Yes. Price the session however you like and describe what is included. account42 takes no cut of it either way.
Can members hire the studio for free?
Yes. Membership is read at booking time, so a member hires the studio at no charge while everyone else pays for the hour.
Can I run a course and drop-ins in the same week?
Yes. A course is one purchase across many sessions; a drop-in is a single seat. Both sit in the same timetable.
Can I pay the model from bookings?
Yes. The money settles on your own Stripe or PayPal account as bookings come in, so the model is paid from your account like any other cost. account42 takes no cut of the session price, and payouts arrive on Stripe's or PayPal's own schedule.
Can I limit studio hire to members?
Yes. Price the hire slots as members-only and they will not accept a drop-in payment. Membership is read at booking time, so a lapsed member cannot book until they renew. Paid hire for non-members can be a separate set of slots on the same Sunday.
How do I sell a course that has already started?
Sell the remaining sessions as a smaller package at a lower price. The late joiner books the sessions that are left, and the seats for the weeks that have passed stay closed. Their attendance is tracked from the week they start.
