Why it exists

Thousands of studios, schools, gyms and tour operators still take bookings by email and a spreadsheet. The software built for them either takes a cut of every booking, charges for features one at a time, or needs a consultant to set up. None of it was engineered to be installed by the owner in an afternoon and then left alone to work.

account42 is the booking system we thought should already exist. One engine handles free, drop-in, membership and credit bookings the same way. Waitlists fill themselves, recurring schedules stay correct across time zones, and payments settle on your own Stripe or PayPal. Every feature is on every plan.

How it’s built

Proven, not just built. Every money path is exercised with a real transaction against the live system before it’s marked done. That means a paid booking, a refund, a membership and a credit pack.

Under the hood

Both payment providers are tested end to end in their sandboxes, including the failure cases. A forged webhook is rejected. A duplicate request creates no second booking. A partial refund returns exactly the right seat and the right money.

Your money never passes through us. Payments are direct charges on your own connected account, the model Stripe documents for platforms whose merchants are the seller of record. PayPal settles the same way.

Isolation you can check. Every merchant’s data is fenced at the database with row-level security, not just in application code, and 96 automated cross-tenant tests must pass before any release ships.

One core, every door. The WordPress plugin, the Wix app, the Shopify app and the embed are thin clients of one shared engine, so behavior is identical wherever a class is booked.

Global by design. Every session is stored against its real time zone and every price in its own currency; booking pages ship in 12 languages. Nothing is converted, held or re-routed through us.

Two ways to run it. Everything has a button and a form; the assistant is there for the moments when a sentence is faster than five clicks. You choose, every time.

What we won’t do

  • Take a per-booking fee or a commission.
  • Hold your money. It settles on your account.
  • Sell features one tier at a time.
  • Sell, rent or share your customers’ data.
  • Charge overage without telling you first.
  • Make you learn a new system to change a class time.

The team

account42 is run by six teams. Each one owns a standard you can hold it to.

  • Leadership

Sets the standards on this page and answers for them. Amit Ahluwalia, CEO, has helped take ten companies to market as a founder or a member of their leadership teams. account42 is the one built for the people who sell seats.

  • Product and engineering

Designs and builds the booking engine, the widget, the dashboard and the assistant, and holds every release to the tests before it ships.

  • Developer partnerships

Runs the partner program: onboarding, verification, the partner dashboard, and the Setup Network.

  • Customer success

Owns onboarding, the done-for-you setup, and support, with a reply within one business day.

  • Finance

Owns billing, allowances, fair overage and the notifications that come before any charge, and partner payouts.

  • Operations

Owns hosting, payments and messaging compliance with our providers, and the vendor relationships behind email, SMS and payments.
